Reggae Music Legend, Ras Kimono, is Dead

Reggae Legend Ras Kimono Dead:

Legendary Nigerian reggae singer, Ras Kimono (real name Ukeleke Onwubuya) is dead. He passed away Sunday morning (June 10, 2018) in Lagos.

The Rub-A-Dub Master was scheduled to travel to the United States on Saturday night, but had complained of not feeling too well.

He was eventually rushed to a hospital in Ikeja, Lagos, then later taken to Lagoon Hospital in the Island where he eventually passed away.

Ras Kimono is well known for revolutionizing the reggae music genre with socially-conscious commercially successful hit singles like Rastafari Chant and What’s Gwan.

He dominated the Nigerian music industry in the late 80s, courtesy of his debut offering, Under Pressure.

RIP Kimono, your legacy will forever live on.
